Everyone knows the classic school photos—a blue sheet, often cheesy decor and awkward poses. While these may certainly capture a photo that makes us giggle, what if the photo was one you actually wanted to frame? If it perfectly captured your kiddos personality. If it got a REAL smile from your favorite tiny human?

That is where I step in. If you are going to pay for a photo of your kid, why not make it one you cannot stop staring at? Fine Art School Photography is an approach that steps outside of the traditional corporate model. The goal is to let kids be kids! Meeting them where they are and making sure to capture their personality, as is.

I have learned that in order to get the best photo of them, they have to feel comfortable. Leaning into silly interactions or letting them feel shy, each kid will have a different experience because each kid is different.

What IS Fine Art School Photography?

If you are thinking your families would like a more boutique and natural approach to school photos, get excited!! This is such a fun and unique thing to offer your families.

We will be in close communication regarding location, administrative information and day of practicalities. I will have information for you to disseminate to parents to help them prepare for picture day.

The entire process will be online and seamless for parents to view and order photos of their children. They will have access to both digital and physical prints.

What does this look like for my school?

These photos are priced similarly to regular school photography. There is no up front cost to the school or the parents, it is based solely on what they choose to order.

Parents also have the freedom to select the poses of their child they prefer, as opposed to having the pose selected for them.

Are these photos expensive?

I am here to work with your school’s schedule. :)

This may look like once a year photos or you may choose to offer a more traditional fall session, with these as an option in the spring. Since their is no cost to you, we can chat together to see what would feel like the best fit for your families.

What time of year are these shoots available?

My turnaround time for both prints and digital files is four weeks. The prints will be delivered to the school for easy dissemination among students.
